In the realm of flexible thin-film solar cells (CIGS), our WTi barrier layer is instrumental in preventing iron atoms from migrating from the steel substrate through the molybdenum back contact into the CIGS semiconductor. Even trace amounts of iron, as little as a few µg/g, can drastically reduce the efficiency of CIGS solar cells.
