Notably, when subjected to hot processing without annealing, iridium showcases its ductile prowess, allowing it to be transformed into delicate filaments and sheets. However, once annealed, it becomes hard and brittle, maintaining its robust nature. With an impressive density of approximately 22.56 grams per cubic centimeter, iridium stands out. Its melting point is a stunning 2410±40ºC, and it boasts a boiling point of 4130ºC. Additionally, iridium's structure is characterized by a face-centered cubic crystal formation.
