This remarkable material has a melting point of 2950°C, a density of 5.43-5.44g/cm³, and a Mohs hardness rating of 8-9. It showcases exceptional thermal shock resistance. Standing out among transition metal nitrides, TiN’s melting point is notably high, yet it maintains a lower density compared to most metal nitrides, making it a unique and superior heat-resistant material.
