The main components of ferronickel are nickel and iron, accompanied by trace impurities such as Cr, Si, S, P, and C. Nickel is completely soluble in γ-iron, with a solubility of 10% in α-iron. According to international standards (ISO), ferronickel is classified into FeNi20 (Ni 15%~25%), FeNi30 (Ni 25%~35%), FeNi40 (Ni 35%~45%), and FeNi50 (Ni 45%~60%). It is further categorized into high carbon (C 1.0%~2.5%), medium carbon (C 0.030%~1.0%), and low carbon (C < 0.030%).<0.03%); low phosphorus (P <0.02%) and high phosphorus (P <0.030 %)Ferronickel.

Nickel-Iron (NiFe) alloy has a melting point range of 1430-1480 degrees Celsius and a density of 8.1-8.7g/cm³. This alloy is a low-frequency soft magnetic material, characterized by low coercivity and high magnetic permeability under weak magnetic fields. Initially utilized in telephone communications, the alloy's properties have been enhanced through heat treatment and vacuum melting methods.
Containing 78% Nickel, the NiFe alloy exhibits permeability 10~20 times higher than silicon steel in weak magnetic fields. It is extensively used in sensitive relays, magnetic shielding, telephone and radio transformers, precision AC and DC instruments, and current transformers. By incorporating elements like molybdenum, manganese, cobalt, copper, and chromium, ternary or quaternary NiFe alloys can be developed with superior initial (Ui) and maximum (Um) magnetic permeability.
Crafted with high-purity nickel and iron, the NiFe sputtering targets produced by Xinkang are melted in a vacuum furnace, achieving a purity level exceeding 3N5. For specific customer needs, we can also produce high-purity nickel-iron targets with a 4N purity standard.
