Vanadium (V) Pellets share properties with their source material. Vanadium, denoted by the symbol V and holding the atomic number 23, is a hard, silvery-grey, ductile, and malleable transition metal. While rarely found in nature in its elemental form, artificial isolation allows for the formation of an oxide layer, which stabilizes the free metal against further oxidation. Vanadium boasts electrical conductivity and thermal insulation properties, exhibiting greater hardness than most metals and steel. This remarkable metal resists corrosion and remains stable when exposed to alkalis, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid. It oxidizes in air at approximately 933 K (660°C, 1220°F), with a protective oxide passivation layer forming even at room temperature.
