Molybdenum is a remarkable metallic element with the symbol Mo. It resides in group VIB of the periodic table and boasts an atomic number of 42. Characterized by a density of 10.2 g/cm³, molybdenum is a silver-white metal known for its hardness, toughness, and high melting point. It is an excellent conductor of heat, and at room temperature, it remains unreactive with air. The molybdenum (Mo) sputtering target inherits the exceptional properties of its raw material. Application:

Welding Method of Molybdenum Sputtering Target
We provide molybdenum or molybdenum alloy target materials, back plates, and solder. The process involves nickel-plating the bonding surface of the molybdenum or molybdenum alloy target material, preheating it to effectively distribute the solder. The back plate is similarly treated to ensure optimal solder distribution on its bonding surface. Both surfaces are then adhered and merged through welding to form a solid target component. This cooling process ensures that the molybdenum or molybdenum alloy target, and especially the copper backing plate, combine with enhanced strength, meeting high-strength sputtering requirements. Remarkably, even in cases of large target areas, this method effectively minimizes deformation and warpage in the molybdenum or molybdenum alloy target assembly.
