In flexible thin-film solar cells (CIGS), our WTi barrier layers are crucial in inhibiting the diffusion of iron atoms from the steel substrate through the molybdenum back contact into the CIGS semiconductor, where even minimal iron contamination can drastically reduce efficiency.
