Description:
Molybdenum disulfide target is an inorganic compound coating material composed of molybdenum and sulfur, with a melting point of 2375°C and a density of 5.06g/cm³. It is a silver-black solid in the form of the molybdenite mineral, the main ore of molybdenum. MoS2 is relatively inactive and unaffected by dilute acids and oxygen. In appearance and feel, it is similar to graphite. It is widely used as a solid lubricant due to its low friction and robustness. Bulk molybdenum disulfide is a diamagnetic, indirect bandgap semiconductor similar to silicon with a bandgap of 1.23 eV.
