Description: Boron Relative Density: 2.350. Melting Point: 2300ºC. Boiling Point: 3658ºC. At room temperature, it is a weak conductor, but it transitions to excellent conductivity at high temperatures. With trace carbon admixture, conductivity is further enhanced. Upon oxidation in air, it forms a protective diboron trioxide film, inhibiting further oxidation. However, at temperatures above 1000°C, the oxide layer begins to evaporate.
