Material preparation involves a meticulous process: starting with vacuum induction melting & electron beam melting, followed by chemical analysis, forging, rolling, annealing, metallographic inspection, machining, dimensional inspection, cleaning, final inspection, and finally, packaging.
Nickel Sputtering Target and Its Preparation Method
This comprehensive preparation method begins with providing nickel ingots, which are hot forged to form an initial nickel target blank. This first blank undergoes a heat treatment at 450ºC~550ºC for 1-2 hours, resulting in a second blank. Post-treatment, the second blank is hot rolled to create a third blank, which is then subjected to a second heat treatment at 300ºC~500ºC for 1-2 hours to form a fourth blank. This fourth blank is cold rolled to form a fifth blank, further refined through a third heat treatment at 200ºC~300ºC for 1-2 hours, culminating in a uniformly structured nickel target with excellent magnetic properties.
