Description:

Melting point: 1412°C | Boiling point: 2562°C | Density: 8.55g/cm³. Exhibits superconductivity near absolute zero. Stable in air, oxidizes to dysprosium oxide at high temperatures.
As an additive for NdFeB permanent magnets, dysprosium (2-3%) enhances coercivity. From a niche demand, it has become essential, with grades ranging from 95% to 99.9% purity, meeting rapidly increasing demand.
Dysprosium serves as a phosphor activator. Trivalent dysprosium is ideal for primary color luminescent materials, emitting yellow and blue light. Suitable for three primary color phosphors.
Critical for producing Terfenol (terbium-dysprosium iron alloy), enabling precise mechanical movements.
