Germanium, element symbol Ge, atomic number 32, atomic weight 72.64. This gray-white metalloid, hard and shiny, belongs to the carbon family and showcases chemical properties akin to tin and silicon. It is insoluble in water with a density of 5.35g/cm3 and a melting point of 937°C. Application:
