Vanadium (V) Pellets share remarkable properties with their source material. Vanadium, denoted by the symbol V and atomic number 23, is a hard, silvery-grey, ductile, and malleable transition metal. This rare elemental metal, once artificially isolated, forms an oxide layer (passivation) that stabilizes it against further oxidation. Vanadium is electrically conductive, thermally insulating, and harder than most metals and steel. It boasts excellent corrosion resistance and remains stable against alkalis, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid. Oxidation of vanadium occurs in air at around 933 K (660 °C, 1220 °F), though an oxide passivation layer forms even at room temperature.
