Molybdenum, a distinguished metallic element with the symbol Mo and atomic number 42, belongs to the VIB group on the periodic table. This tough and resilient metal exhibits a remarkably high melting point and exceptional thermal conductivity. Notably, at ambient room temperature, molybdenum remains inert, showing no oxidation reaction when exposed to air. As a transition element, it adeptly transforms its oxidation state, causing a captivating change in the color of its ions.

The molybdenum (Mo) sputtering target exhibits identical properties to its pristine raw form. Similarly, preheat the back plate to achieve an even distribution of solder on its bonding face. Merge the bonding surfaces of both the molybdenum target and the back plate, then perform the welding to create a cohesive target component. Once the welding is complete, cool the target component. This sophisticated welding method guarantees that the molybdenum or molybdenum alloy target, particularly when paired with a copper backing plate, achieves superior strength, satisfying the stringent requirements of the sputtering process. Even if the target area is considerably large, it effectively prevents any substantial deformation or warpage of the molybdenum or molybdenum alloy target during assembly.
