The core constituents of ferronickel are nickel and iron, accompanied by trace impurity elements such as Cr, Si, S, P, and C. Nickel seamlessly dissolves in γ-iron, with a solubility of 10% in α-iron. According to ISO standards, ferronickel is categorized into FeNi20 (Ni 15%~25%), FeNi30 (Ni 25%~35%), FeNi40 (Ni 35%~45%), and FeNi50 (Ni 45%~60%). It is further classified into high carbon (C 1.0%~2.5%), medium carbon (C 0.030%~1.0%), and low carbon (C <0.03%), as well as low phosphorus (P <0.02%) and high phosphorus (P <0.030%) variants.

Nickel-Iron (NiFe) boasts a melting point of 1430-1480 degrees Celsius and a density ranging from 8.1-8.7g/cm³. This alloy is a low-frequency soft magnetic material, characterized by low coercivity and high magnetic permeability in weak magnetic fields. Initially utilized for telephone communications, advanced heat treatment and vacuum melting processes have since enhanced its properties.
Nickel-Iron alloys with 78% Ni exhibit permeability levels 10-20 times greater than silicon steel in weak magnetic fields. Widely used in sensitive relays, magnetic shielding, transformers for telephones and radios, precision AC and DC instruments, and current transformers. Adding elements like molybdenum, manganese, cobalt, copper, and chromium results in ternary or quaternary nickel-iron alloys with superior initial and maximum magnetic permeability.
Xinkang's nickel-iron (NiFe) sputtering targets are produced from high-purity nickel and iron, melted in a vacuum furnace to achieve purity levels exceeding 3N5. For specialized requirements, we can mass-produce high-purity nickel-iron targets with up to 4N purity.
