Description:
The metal Antimony Silvery white lustrous hard and brittle metal (often made into rods, blocks, powder and other shapes). It has a scaly crystal structure. It gradually loses its luster in humid air, and burns into white antimony oxides under strong heat. Soluble in aqua regia, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid. The relative density is 6.68. The melting point is 630°C. The boiling point is 1635°C (1440°C).

Application:
60% of antimony is used in the production of flame retardants, while 20% of antimony is used in the manufacture of alloy materials in batteries, sliding bearings and welding agents.
It is also used as an additive for polyester resin in fiberglass composite (commonly known as FRP) industry, such as the engine cover of light aircraft.
