Metal Ruthenium, Hard white metal, density 12.30 g/cm³. With a melting point of 2310°C and a boiling point of 3900°C, ruthenium is an excellent catalyst for hydrogenation, isomerization, oxidation and reforming reactions. Pure metal ruthenium has few uses. It is an effective hardener for platinum and palladium. Use it to make electrical contact alloys, as well as hard grinding carbide, etc.
