Product Description:
Feture:
CrN is a cubic crystal with a lattice constant a=0. 4150nm, a relative density of 6.14, a melting point of 1282°C (decomposition), and a volume resistivity of 640. cm, thermal conductivity 11. 7W/(m.K), microhardness 1090kg/mm2. Cr2 N is a hexagonal crystal system, gray, with a lattice constant a=0. 274nm and a relative density of 6.8. Chromium nitride is insoluble in water and acid. At high temperatures, chromium nitride and chromium carbide form a conductive solid solution with a volume resistivity of about 10-zn. cm. Has good adhesion, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.
Preparation method
Low-carbon ferrochromium is nitrided in a vacuum heating furnace at 1150°C to obtain crude ferrochromium nitride, which is then treated with sulfuric acid to remove iron impurities. After filtering, washing and drying, chromium nitride is obtained. It can also be obtained by the reaction of ammonia and chromium halide.
Use
Used as a wear-resistant coating. Added to mechanical parts and molds to enhance their lubricity and wear resistance. The higher surface hardness, lower friction coefficient and lower residual stress make it suitable for anti-wear and metal-to-metal friction situations.
