Description: Boron relative density: 2.350. Melting point: 2300ºC. Boiling point: 3658ºC. It is a weak conductor at room temperature but conducts electricity well at high temperatures. The admixture of trace amounts of carbon can increase conductivity. When oxidized in air, the formation of diboron trioxide film plays a limiting role. When the temperature is above 1000°C, the oxide layer evaporates.
