With a molecular mass of 140.28, this Si3N4 compound presents itself in shades of gray, white, or off-white. Renowned for its high-temperature insolubility and absence of melting point, it exhibits remarkable resistance to high-temperature creep. Specifically, the binder-free reactive sintered silicon nitride boasts a softening point exceeding 1800°C, aligning with its hexagonal crystal architecture. The Si3N4, crafted via reaction sintering, showcases a density ranging from 1.8 to 2.7g/cm3, while the hot pressing method yields a density between 3.12 and 3.22g/cm3.
