Description:
Molybdenum Disulfide is a black solid with a distinctive metallic luster. Its chemical formula is MoS2, boasting a melting point of 1185ºC and a density of 4.80g/cm3 at 14ºC. With a Mohs hardness rating of 1.0~1.5, MoS2 begins to decompose at 1370ºC, breaking down into metallic molybdenum and sulfur at 1600ºC. When heated in air at 315°C, it starts to oxidize, with the oxidation process accelerating as the temperature increases.
